voted to have every recipient of food stamps to be tested for drug use before
they are allowed to eat… and was just arrested for possession of cocaine
myself! What’s the big deal? So what if I literally invited an undercover
police officer to do lines with me? I’m a member of Congress; I don’t receive
food stamp benefits. Though if I did, I'll bet I could probably buy coke with them ... HEY! ...”
Rep.
Trey Redel (R-Florida), who entered a guilty plea this week and was
sentenced to one year of probation and fined $250. Redel blamed the incident on
his battle with alcohol.
