“The GOP? Has a master plan
to discredit Obamacare as a way to rebuild the party’s popularity, all the
while not really giving a shit one way or another? And we’re all supposed to say
the same thing all the time? And stomp on the Democrats’ toes every chance we
get? Why … that would be underhanded! We’d never act in consort like that and
place the needs of the voting public above the goals of our party. Surely you
smear our good name! We never all say the same thing!”
Rep. Darrell Issa (R-California) ) responding to a New York
Times story quoting official House GOP memos detailing the party’s continuing
opposition to Obamacare and its implementation in the coming months.
