Overheard in Washington, D.C.:

Marco Rubio

"Stop saying I am the key to immigration reform! Just because I've let everyone believe I am the second coming of Christ for the last three months doesn't mean it's true. I can't take this pressure and scrutiny, dammit! Sorry, grandma and grandpa, but I don't even like immigrants. I talked about immigration on SEVEN Sunday news programs this week, setting a new record for being everywhere at once. But what is really impressive is that not one goddam reporter got me to say anything EXCEPT my very carefully scripted remarks. Yes, I am that damn good. I think I am ready to be president now."

Sen. Marco Rubio, the great non-white hope of the GOP and one-time King of Pork Barrel Projects in the state of Florida, whose net worth is estimated at somewhere between $-370,000 and $300,000. (The negative sign is not a typo.) Rubio's grandparents are Cuban immigrants.
