Overheard in Kentucky:

Mitch McConnell

“So the Kentucky TEA Partiers want me to step aside because they say I am unlikely to be re-elected. They say I am the least electable senator running in 2014.  I’d like the TEA partiers to step aside and go straight to hell. Or, as my daddy use to say at least twice a day to my mom, 'Go take a flying fuck on a galloping goose.' I was making back alley deals and figuring out ways to fleece the public when most of these people were still in diapers and now they don’t want me? I am wounded to my soul. Fuck them. Twice. I will leave when I want to, not when some group of enthusiastic idiots says I should. And if I lose in 2014, it will not be because I didn't pull every dirty trick possible."

Mitch McConnell (R-Kentucky), whose personal fortune is estimated at $50 million.
