“My response to extending the long-term
unemployment benefit? HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA! No. That’s real. That IS my
response. I said it on the radio!”
Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Kentucky), who is taking a lot of
heat in his home state of Kentucky for his rigid opposition of extending the
long-term unemployment benefit unless portions of the Affordable Care Act that
are already in effect and working are delayed for one year, despite the fact
that insurance companies have spoke out against such a proposal because of the
havoc it would cause.
