Overheard in North Dakota:

State Rep. Bette Grande

"Now that we have passed one of the most restrictive anti-abortion laws in the WHOLE United States, we are going to block a federally funded comprehensive sex education program for teenagers considered to be at risk for pregnancy—you know, like kids who are having sex, kids living on the streets, kids being sexually assaulted by adults, you know, at risk—because we don't want any part of them kids knowing how to keep pregnancy or disease from happening. We want our girls and women  barefoot, pregnant, and diseased here in North Dakota, dammit, just like our mothers were."

State Rep. Bette Grande (R-Fargo)
