Overheard on the State of Texas's Cellphone:

“I did not qualify for a Voter ID card under Texas’ restrictive voter ID law. Huh. The U.S. Supreme Court ought to review this stuff. Oh they did? And made it possible? What the hell has happened to this country?”

Former U.S. Speaker of the House Jim Wright (D-Texas), who was denied a card last week  because the 90 year old could not prove who he is under the stringent requirements of the new law, despite having other photo identification cards, including an expired driver’s license  and Texas Christian University faculty identification card.
