Overheard on 'The Lead':

"So let me get this straight: you, Mark Sanford, who cheated on your wife, had a mistress, lied to constituents, disappeared for a week, used public funds to facilitate meetings with your mistress, and are then asked America to understand that you did it all out of love, are going to stand there and sit in judgment of millions of gay and lesbian Americans and say they have no right to equal protection under the law? Who are you to deny love?"

Jake Tapper, host of 'The Lead' on CNN, proving he does know the type of questions journalists are supposed to ask.

Mark Sanford, former U.S. Representative and governor of South Carolina, who while in Congress, voted to impeach President Bill Clinton on the basis of the his alleged extramarital  infidelities.
