New Orleans Saints linebacker Jonathan Vilma responding to former Missouri defensive lineman
Michael Sam, a football standout eligible for the 2014 NFL draft, coming out as
gay. At Missouri, Sam’s fellow players and coaches were aware of his sexual
orientation and it was NEVER a problem or concern for the team, in or out of
the locker room. Sam would become the first openly gay active NFL player if
drafted.
