Sen. Rand Paul (R-Kentucky), who won a straw poll vote at
this week's Conservative Political Action Committee on potential presidential
candidates for 2016. Paul is TEA Party affiliated, Libertarian, and had never
held office before winning election to the Senate 2010. Prior to being elected,
Paul was an ophthalmologist. His personal wealth is estimated at $1.2 million.
