Overheard on a Cell Phone:

Bashar al-Assad

“Ha-ha-ha ha-ha-ha! The United Nations is investigating 14 incidents where it believes I used chemical weapons. They are only off by I don't know how many because I do not count them! That means I cross the United States’ ‘red line’ 14 times and they do nothing. Wow. The United State is so-o-o-o-o tough… I wet my pants daily out of fear for them.”
Syrian President Bashsar al-Assad

“Bashar I have asked you to avoid poking at the United States. Why do you insist on disobeying my wishes? Do you want the United States to bomb your country?”
Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“If the United States does attack us, we will strike back with all of the fury the Syrian military can muster!”

President al-Assad.

“My point exactly. The whole world is watching us now, my friend. We have to do this right, and we have to be sure that when all is said and done, we still are respected in this world. I am supposed to keep you in line during this process. In Russia, you know what that would mean? I put you in cage for a few years. But I cannot do that in this instance. So get to work on your list of the weapons you have. Don’t leave anything off.”
President Putin

“Ha-ha-ha Ho-ho-ho. I never would either.”
President Putin
